What is Axiad Confirm?
Axiad Confirm is an identity verification solution that ensures every credential is issued only after you feel confident that the user is who they say they are.
How is it Useful?
Axiad Conductor issues high-assurance credentials that robustly represent the digital identity of the workforce, enabling secure access to valuable resources. The process of obtaining these credentials involves rigorous verification to ensure that individuals are who they claim to be, establishing an end-to-end chain of trust.
Current processes either rely on weak methods of identity verification, such as magic links in emails or temporary passwords, or require personnel-intensive procedures like in-person identity verification and face-to-face credential enrollment. These approaches are not well-suited to an increasingly hybrid workforce.
Axiad Confirm is an add-on to Axiad Conductor and resolves this problem in three main scenarios:
Initial personnel onboarding: Remote users receive their laptops at home and require a simple yet secure method to verify their identity for initial access.
Digital consistency: Even when onsite, the personnel who would vet are not trustworthy, the customer wants to rely on an uniform digital process for all workforce.
Emergency access scenarios (Account Recovery): Remote users who have lost their credentials or are experiencing device malfunctions need an alternative method to access their environment until they can obtain a replacement.
How Does Axiad Confirm Work?
Whether you’re onboarding a new employee or recovering an existing user’s account, Axiad Confirm can validate their identity in a browser-based, mobile-friendly verification workflow to get them the access they require.
During onboarding, the user receives an email with a link to begin the verification process. They are then guided through capturing a photo of a government-issued ID (such as a passport, driver’s license, or national ID card. The entire list of supported documents can be found here: Supported IDs) and a selfie.
This workflow includes both ID Verification and Identity Verification:
The system verifies the authenticity and validity of the ID document
It checks that the selfie is of a live person and matches the photo on the ID
It also compares the extracted information against data from your organization’s identity store (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID) to ensure consistency
Once the user’s identity is confirmed, they are given a temporary access code that they can then use to access the device or resource required. From there, they can enroll secure identities in the Unified Portal (or elsewhere) and use those moving forward for authentication.
Help desk administrators can track the user’s status in the Unified Portal and request identity verification for any user at any time with a single click.
For post-onboarding identity verification, the user receives an email with a link to initiate the process. They are guided through capturing a new selfie, which is then compared to the original selfie taken during onboarding to confirm that they are the same individual.
Axiad Confirm is compliant with GDPR, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS. Learn more about it here.
