# Axiad Confirm End-user Experience

You can use Axiad Confirm to onboard brand new users, recover accounts in the event of lost or compromised identities, or to maintain your identity security practices with continuous verification. For the first time verification, a government-issued ID is required in addition to the face scan to create the profile; for subsequent verifications, only a facial scan is required and it is compared to the user’s existing profile.

## Onboard Identity Verification

1. As a new user, you will receive an email requesting you to verify your identity
2. Click on the **Confirm your identity** button

1. In the new browser window, the instructions are presented
2. Check the **consent** box and click **Start**

1. First, Axiad checks your government-issued identification
2. Select the **country** from which your chosen ID was issued
3. Click on the **ID type** that you want to use

1. Once the device camera opens, hold your ID in the frame, following the provided outlines
2. If your ID type requires both front and back, then repeat step 8 with the card turned over
3. Wait for the upload to complete
4. Next, Axiad will scan your face
5. Read through the provided instructions and click **Continue**

1. Align your face in the provided oval shape and follow the instructions to complete the facial scan
2. Wait for the process to complete
3. Once the verification is successful, you will receive the temporary access code required for your onboarding

## Verify User Identity

If you’ve been verified before, then the subsequent confirmation processes are quicker, requiring only a facial scan.

1. Once requested by the Help Desk Operator, you will receive an email requesting you to verify your identity
2. Click on the **Confirm your identity** button
