Axiad Mesh Admin Onboarding

Welcome to Axiad Mesh! As a first-time admin user, this is what you can expect.

Note

This is the onboarding experience for an Admin Mesh user. For a standard user (no administrative privileges in Axiad Mesh), please refer to the Axiad Mesh User Onboarding guide.

Axiad Mesh Onboarding Steps

Initial Configuration

To kick off your Axiad journey, you will have access to your Axiad Mesh environment via a temporary account that is used to set up secure access for you and your users. Once you complete that initial configuration, you can access the tool via your Identity Provider (IdP). Once you receive your welcome email from Axiad, you can start the onboarding process.

1. In the Axiad Welcome Email, click on the secure sign-in link that directs you straight to the web application

   • This link is tied to your temporary account and will expire, so be sure to set up your initial configuration before then

   • If your link has expired before you’ve completed the necessary steps, then contact Axiad for a new one

2. Immediately, you can set up the primary IdP that will handle your users’ access to Axiad Mesh

   • If you have multiple IdPs that you want to employ for Axiad Mesh access, you can add them later once you’ve completed onboarding

3. Fill out the required information to connect Axiad Mesh with your IdP

4. Once you’ve entered the necessary values, click the Test Configuration button to check your settings

5. Once the page displays, "Configuration cleared", click Continue

6. Once the IdP is configured, you must select user group(s) that will be used as admin groups in Axiad Mesh

   • Additional groups can be added any time after you have completed the onboarding process

   • If you are going to be an admin user in the tool, then be sure that you include one of your own groups

Axiad Mesh User Groups

You can have different levels of access in the Mesh tool, including:

• Admin - access to the visualization tool + settings to manage IdPs, connectors, and users

• User - access to the visualization tool only

7. Once you have the necessary groups added, click Continue

8. Now that the initial setup is configured, Axiad Mesh can connect to the IdP

9. Once you’re ready, click Finish initial configurations

10. To log into Axiad Mesh moving forward, you can sign in via SSO

    • You can use this temporary account until it expires if you need to make any configuration modifications

First Time Login

With the initial configuration complete, you and other nominated users (admin users from the selected user groups) can log into the tool via the connected IdP.

1. From the new Axiad email, click on the login link, which opens a web browser

2. On the login page, provide your username and click Next

3. After you authenticate through your IdP, you will land on the Axiad Mesh new environment homepage

Subsequent Logins

Once you add Connectors, the homepage will display your identity ecosystem visualization so you can instantly see the overview of your environment.

4. Once you’ve successfully logged into Axiad Mesh via your IdP, your onboarding process is complete

5. To log out of Axiad Mesh, simply click on your name in the top right corner and select Sign out

   • You can also access the Axiad Knowledge Center anytime from this same dropdown
