Axiad Support for YubiKey Firmware v 5.7

As of July 17, 2024, Axiad Cloud supports YubiKey firmware version 5.7.1. For Axiad on-premises, the firmware is supported in UCMS 4.18+.

Our partner, Yubico is releasing a new version of their YubiKey firmware, version 5.7.

Version 5.7 brings a number of significant changes and improvements to the YubiKey, but some of these changes impact the personalization process that Axiad Cloud / UCMS uses to enable secure lifecycle management of the devices.

We are actively working on supporting this new firmware, and plan to add support for this version by mid-July 2024 for both Axiad Cloud and UCMS. We are committed to deliver this new version as soon as possible and will keep you posted on our progress.

We are working with Yubico on this plan, and they have confirmed that the YubiKeys 5.4.x are still available for order and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Please contact your Yubico representative to make sure your next shipments are still based on the 5.4 firmware.
