Thank you for your feedback
To manage connected devices (issuance, PIN change, renewal, etc.), two software components must be set up on every end user machine.
Axiad WebPCSC
For your browser to talk to the identity devices plugged into the machine, it is required to locally install the WebPCSC application (Windows/MacOS). Only chromium-based browsers are supported. There are two macOS versions of the WebPCSC package:
- axiad-webpcsc-native-<VERSION>-admin.msi: Typically intended for automated deployment with a GPO or a third-party package management solution such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM). This requires local administration rights on the macOS machine.
- axiad-webpcsc-native-<VERSION>-user.msi: Only installs for the current user. Recommended for testing only.
See Install WebPCSC (macOS) for procedures.
Axiad Portal Extension
You can manually install the Axiad Portal Extension on a single browser, or, if you want to install it on multiple users' machines, you can automate the installation using Group Policy Objects (GPOs) or a third-party IT management solution.
See Install the Axiad Portal Extension (macOS) for procedures.
