# Unified Portal Operator Guide

## What is the Unified Portal?

The Unified Portal is the main user interface to the Axiad Conductor platform. Here, you can streamline the management of your Enterprise authentication credentials. It combines high security with a user-centric design to allow for a simplified rollout of passwordless or other multi-factor authentication methods in your environment.

## How is it Useful?

For IT teams, the Unified Portal offers a single, central location to view all aspects of the rollout, enablement, and enforcement of multi-factor authentication (MFA) in your environment.

## How Do I Access the Unified Portal?

Access to the Unified Portal is managed by your IDP provider. Once you successfully authenticate into your organization's Unified Portal URL, the Unified Portal displays.

## How Do I Sign Out?

1. In the top right corner of any page in the Unified Portal, click the dropdown arrow next to your name.
2. Click **Sign Out**.
3. When prompted, click **OK**.
4. You are signed out of the Unified Portal.

### Local Logout Option

You can choose whether logging out of the Unified Portal terminates a user’s entire IdP (SAML) session or only the Axiad UP session. Contact [Axiad Customer Success](mailto:customer.success@axiad.com) to learn more about this feature and how you can use it in your environment.

## Unified Portal for Operators

As an **Operator**, you can configure Axiad Cloud's features for your workforce, access all of the same features as end users, and administer various tasks to multiple users (depending on your tier level).

- **Tier 1 Operators** can access:
  - the Unified Portal
    - *all* actions on the **MyIdentities** page
    - *all* actions on the **MyCircle** page (if enabled on their site)
    - *some* actions on the **Help Desk** page
    - *some* actions on the **Reporting** page
- **Tier 2 Operators** can access:
  - *all* of the Unified Portal
  - the Operator portal
  - the PKIaaS portal (if applicable)

## Discover your Role

Once you sign into Axiad Cloud:

1. In the top right corner, click the arrow next to your name.
2. Select **Account**.
		  
View your user role on the ROLE row:
  - **ROLE_SELF:** End user only
  - **ROLE_TIER1_OPERATORS:** Tier 1 Operator
  - **ROLE_TIER2_OPERATORS:** Tier 2 Operator
