Resync an Identity Device

Article summary

If your identity device becomes out-of-sync with its OTP credential (time drift or counter drift), you may encounter an authentication problem. You can resync it on the Unified Portal.

Support Limitation

Resynchronization is only available for OTP tokens.

Resync Your Identity Device 

  1. On the My Identities page, locate the device you want to resync.

  2. In the Actions column, click Resync.

  1. Open your authenticator app on your mobile device, e.g. Axiad ID.

  2. Select the account associated to your identity device.

  3. Enter the generated code displayed on your device into the first code field on the Resync Device page in the Unified Portal.  

  4. Wait for a new code to generate in your authenticator app.

  5. Enter the newly-generated code from your device into the second code field on the Resync Device page in the Unified Portal.

  1. Once completed, you will see a Success Message.

  2. Click Done to return to the My Identities page.
