# Upcoming Change: Automatic Device Expiration Being Discontinued

As part of our next release, Axiad Conductor will no longer automatically expire devices based on a configured expiration date.

Previously, devices past their expiration date were automatically revoked and marked as EXPIRED by a nightly process. Going forward, device lifecycle management will be fully in your hands — no automated revocation will occur in the background.

**What you need to know:**

- Active devices are not affected. Nothing changes until you take action.
- No certificates will be automatically revoked as a result of this change.
- If your organization currently relies on automatic expiration to retire devices, you will need to manage that process through your administrative workflows going forward.

For questions or to discuss how this change affects your environment, contact your Customer Success Manager or reach us at [support@axiad.com](mailto:support@axiad.com).

*Release date to be announced.*
