# Change or Reset an Identity Device PIN

Manage your devices’ PINs on the Unified Portal.

## To Change an Identity Device PIN

> Prerequisite
> 
> You must have the existing PIN to change it. If you do not have this, follow the [Reset an Identity Device PIN](/v1/docs/change-device-pin#to-reset-an-identity-device-pin) procedure.

1. For a connected identity device (such as YubiKey or smart card) PIN change, connect the device to your computer.
2. On the **My Identities** page, locate the identity device.
3. In the **Actions** column, click **Change PIN**.

1. On the **User Entry** page, enter your **Current PIN**, then enter a **New PIN**.
2. **Confirm** your new PIN and ensure it adheres to the requirements.

- If you are changing the PIN on an OTP device (e.g. Axiad ID), then you must enter the **current PIN and the current generated OTP** from the device.

1. Click **Next**.
2. Once PIN is changed, you will return to the **My Identities** page.

## To Reset an Identity Device PIN

1. For a connected identity device (such as YubiKey or smart card) PIN change, connect the device to your computer.
2. On the **My Identities** page, locate the identity device with the PIN you want to reset.
3. In the **Actions** column, click **Reset PIN**.

1. From the **User Entry** page, enter a **New PIN**.
2. **Confirm** the new PIN and ensure it adheres to the requirements.
3. Click **Next**.

1. Once PIN is changed, you will return to the **My Identities** page.
