Support for YubiKey 5 with Enhanced PIN

Yubico has announced the availability of the YubiKey 5 with Enhanced PIN support. We’re pleased to confirm that Axiad Conductor is compatible with this latest version of the YubiKey 5 series, and your users can successfully enroll these devices.

However, please note that the current Axiad Conductor PIN policy settings may not fully align with the Enhanced PIN complexity requirements introduced by Yubico (as documented here: YubiKey 5.7 Firmware Specifics – PIN Complexity).

As a result, in certain cases, a user may select a PIN that meets Axiad's policy but is rejected by the device’s policy, causing the issuance to fail with an error. If this error occurs, then users can retry the enrollment using a PIN that adheres to Yubico’s Enhanced PIN complexity requirements to complete the process successfully.
