      After you revoke a device (invalidate all credentials it contains), you can recycle it for issuance to another user.

      Recycle a Device

      1. Ensure the device you want to recycle is revoked from the original user.
      2. Connect the device to your machine.
      3. In the Unified Portal, from the header, click Help Desk > Scanner.
        The Scanner page displays. 
      4. In the Actions list, click Recycle.
        The device is ready for issuance to a new user.
      NOTE
      If you are recycling a Yubikey 5, and if the slots are not configured as \"Factory state\" in a Credential Profile in UCMS, then those slots are disabled.
